Flores came to ABC30 from KERO in Bakersfield, where she first became familiar with the Central Valley. She followed trending, developing, and breaking news stories throughout the morning as the Live Center Anchor on 23ABC’s. In addition, Flores co-hosted ‘Foodie Friday,’ which featured local businesses and events throughout Kern County.
While in Bakersfield, she covered local government, crime trends throughout the county, California’s major wildfires, and education policies. Furthermore, she told stories of the pulse of Latino culture in Kern County, including an Emmy-nominated story about civil rights activist Dolores Huerta being recognized with her own holiday in California.
Flores started her career in broadcasting journalism at KFBB in Helena, Montana, reporting for TV stations across the Treasure State from the Capitol. Where she covered prominent court trials, elections, policies from the governor’s office, and the state’s legislative session.
