Leone was born and brought up in Minnesota. She loves working in her home state, which is a close drive home to her unbelievably loud, but loving family. She attended and graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. degree in Journalism with minors in Theatre Arts and Media Production.
In her senior year at Bethel, Leone interned at KARE-11 in Golden Valley. She shadowed and worked with MJs at KARE and gained a lot of hands-on experience in their newsroom. In addition, she also served as the Managing Editor of The Clarion, Bethel University’s newspaper. Prior to assuming that leadership role in 2017 she was the Features Editor for the paper.
She is a native of Chaska and began her reporting career in the summer of 2016 as an intern reporter for The Chaska Herald. During her leisure time, you can find her drinking massive amounts of coffee, singing too loud in the newsroom, or eating popcorn.
