Bray Wyatt WWE Career

When Bray Wyatt debuted on the main roster in 2013, he was one of the most captivating characters WWE had seen in a long time.

Throughout his feuds with Daniel Bryan, The Shield, and John Cena, it was quite clear that WWE had huge plans for “The Eater of Worlds” and he was going to be one of the company’s top stars for many years to come.

But that was then and this is now, and even the biggest Bray fan would agree that his believability as a character has been severely damaged over the last three years by major losses, particularly at WrestleMania, and underwhelming storylines.

Bray Wyatt’s long-awaited WWE Championship reign was, quite frankly, a farce. It lasted 49 days, he only had one successful title defense, he didn’t get a televised rematch, and he was one of five people to hold the title within the space of four months.

His run with the SmackDown Live Tag Team titles a few weeks earlier wasn’t much better. Teaming with Randy Orton, they won the championships from Heath Slater & Rhyno at TLC 2016 but lost them to American Alpha just 23 days later.

For a character who already had a reputation as someone who wins every so often but, when it comes down to it, can’t win the big one, it was typical for Bray to lose both titles shortly after winning them.

The general feeling about the former Wyatt Family leader, much like The Undertaker in years gone by, was that he didn’t need titles because his character and storylines were interesting enough that there was no reason for him to chase any gold.

Bray Wyatt Injury

Somehow, Bray Wyatt never became the star he should have. He has always been in the mix at the top, but somehow he’s never grabbed the brass ring. It did seem like matters were improving when he was teaming with ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy. But then Hardy got injured and Wyatt simply disappeared.

Yes, he vanished into a mist just like he is known to do on television. Only he has not shown up for weeks and months altogether. He went on to delete all his Twitter posts, except for a couple.

Bray Wyatt has always been a great singles superstar. But one can argue that he’s always been at his best when he was a part of his stable- The Wyatt Family. Back when Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (and later, Braun Strowman were at his side), Bray Wyatt seemed like a big deal.

We all know that Wyatt is not injured because he did compete at Starrcade and other Live Events. Therefore, he could have been waiting for Harper and Rowan to heal up and join forces with them to take over RAW again. The thing is that while The Bludgeon Brothers were a solid tag team, they were no Wyatt Family, to be quite honest.

Bray Wyatt Return

Former WWE champion Wyatt has been missing from weekly television since August of 2018 and hasn’t wrestled for WWE since Starrcade late last year, but the company had been teasing him returning in recent weeks with a series of mysterious and creepy vignettes. Wyatt re-emerged on Monday Night Raw this week as…. a potentially deranged children’s show host.

Wyatt welcomed viewers to the “Firefly Fun House” and explained that his former self is “dead now.”Wyatt then used a chainsaw to destroy a cardboard cut-out of himself. Wyatt’s return got off to a strong start, but it will be interesting to see how the host character will transition from pre-taped packages to live in-ring action. WWE’s next pay-per-view is May 19th at Money In The Bank, which makes sense as a potential live re-debut for Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt Net worth
