Before she worked at CBS12 News, there was nobody more qualified than Erin to lead CBS12 News’ StormTrac Weather team in providing comprehensive coverage both on-air and online. She reported for the weather every Monday through Friday at 3 p.m., 5-6:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. on CBS12 News. Christiansen’s journey in journalism began during her college years with an internship at WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois. In 1997, she commenced her career at KOLD-TV as an Account Executive.

By July 2000, she advanced to co-anchor for News 13 This Morning and assumed the role of meteorologist for News 13 at Noon, marking her debut on-camera. Subsequently, Christiansen joined the KOLD 13 team as the morning meteorologist until May 2006. In 2006, she transitioned to KGUN 9, where she served as chief meteorologist until August 2018, when she departed to become the chief meteorologist at WPEC CBS 12 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
