In 1986, he joined WFTV, coming from KSTP in Minneapolis, Minn. He was WFTV’s weekend sports anchor and covered some area-changing events, from Orlando’s securing of an NBA franchise to following the team march to the NBA Finals for the 11 years.
Warmoth love and enjoys covering sporting events from time to time although now being a news anchor. In 1997, he made a decision to switch to the news department and for 15 years woke up every day at 2:45 a.m. to co-anchor Eyewitness News Daybreak, Eyewitness News This Morning on TV-27, and Eyewitness News at Noon with Vanessa Echols.
In addition, he has also appeared in the part of Kennedy Space Center reporter in the movie “Armageddon.” He is always active in watching his sons play collegiate baseball at Florida State University and North Carolina University. Warmoth, find his work with Special Olympics Florida especially rewarding and enjoy hosting the annual Polar Plunge. Furthermore, he is also active with the Chris DiMarco “Tee Up For Life” pro-am golf tournament. We have raised more than $5 million for children battling cancer in the previous 15 years. As a new resident of Thornton Park, he can be spotted daily on my jogs and walks around the beautiful Lake Eola.
