Jake Tapper is a skilled American journalist currently working at CNN as an anchor and chief Washington correspondent. He joined the news team in January 2013. Currently, he anchors a two-hour weekday program, The Lead with Jake Tapper, which was launched in March 2013.

In addition, he has hosted CNN’s Sunday morning show, State of the Union, since June 2015. He became the lead anchor for CNN for Washington, D.C. events in April 2021.
