The most enjoyable experience of her career was being on the field for the final pitch in 2008 as the Phillies won the World Series. Apody will never forget being inside the clubhouse for the champagne celebration and then on the parade route down Broad Street. That entire month was a dream come true for this baseball “Phanatic”.
Outside the workplace, she serves as the Co-Chair of the Gary Papa Run and she is on the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Apody comes to Philadelphia from El Paso, Texas, where she was the Sports Director at KDBC. One of El Paso’s most honored sports journalists, Jamie was named the 2005 Sportscaster of the Year by El Paso Inc.
Apody started her career as a sports producer at KNBC in Los Angeles. In this capacity, she was privileged to cover the NBA and the Lakers, including the team’s memorable 3-straight NBA Championships. Additionally, she covered the Angels’ World Series title and the Ducks’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals.
