Lewison began to portray his passion for acting at 5 years old when his after-care had a theatre group come who connected him with representation. After giving his name to a Dallas film and TV agent, he landed his first role as Joshua on Barney & Friends, whom he played in various episodes and videos from 2008 to 2011.
Since then, he has acted in various TV series, TV movies, and films. Some of his outstanding roles included playing Adam Sandler’s son in the 2014 film, Men, Women & Children. In addition, he played the younger version of the main character Hoagie, whom Ed Helms portrayed, in the 2018 comedy film Tag. The Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships according to the Netflix plot synopsis.
After the whole nine episodes, season 2 of Never Have I Ever, the season ended at the winter formal with a handful of loose ends. When she and Paxton break up, Devi attended the dance with Eleanor as her date who later swapped her for Trent. Just when a heartbroken and lonely Devi is about to leave, Paxton comes back to the school grounds. They share a passionate kiss. Further, they rekindle their romance on the dance floor as the entire school watches, much to Ben’s dismay, who laments by the punch bowl. Not everyone is going through it, though. Eve and Fabiola have just confessed their love for each other, and Kamala made a run for it at her proposed dinner to spend time with Mr. Kulkarni.
The main cast of the third season is all the same: so Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is coming back as Devi Vishwakumar, Darren Barnet is Paxton Hall-Yoshida, Jaren Lewison is Ben Gross, Lee Rodriguez is Fabiola Torres, Ramona Young is Eleanor Wong, Megan Suri as Aneesa. However, from the new teaser photos, it looks like a new face will be joining the cast for this season. Per Collider Anirudh Pisharody will play Des, a private school student.
