Harris has honed her expertise in covering high-profile court cases, including the Ahmaud Arbery murder investigation and the McMichaels and Bryan murder trial, which spanned over two and a half years, diving deep into the details surrounding Arbery’s tragic demise. Additionally, she provided comprehensive coverage of the heart-wrenching abduction and murder of Cherish Periwinkle following her abduction from a local store.

Harris spent two years as the morning anchor at WICD and later worked as an evening anchor and reporter at WCCU, alongside her co-anchor Doug Quick, where they introduced a new local Fox affiliate. Located a couple of hours north of Champaign, Illinois, Harris held positions as an assignment editor and field producer for CBS 2 Chicago and the Local News Service. During this time, she covered a wide range of events, including city council meetings, federal court cases, protests, and celebrity charity events.
Before relocating to Chicago, she served as the evening anchor, reporter, and producer for the 5, 6, and 10 o’clock evening news at WABG in Greenville, Mississippi. Her broadcasting career commenced at WMOR in Tampa, Florida, where she hosted a weekly entertainment show called MORE TV 32. Harris’s experience in journalism began at the age of 15 when she interned at WDET, a National Public Radio station in her hometown of Detroit.
