During his tenure at NBC 10, one of his most memorable assignments took him to Buenos Aires, Argentina to gather stories for a special half-hour broadcast called, “The People’s Pope.” Jim visited Pope Francis’ homeland to speak with childhood friends, former colleagues, and others about the man known there as Father Jorge Bergoglio. Jim and his team’s work on the special were nominated for an Emmy.
“It was really a highlight for me to have the opportunity to travel to Argentina and learn more about the man myself. I was proud to be a part of a special that gave viewers an inside look at Pope Francis’s early life in Argentina in preparation for his historic visit to Philadelphia,” he said.
In addition, he is passionate about sharing local news with viewers, as well as traveling wherever important stories happen, to report on how they impact people in the Delaware Valley.
Moreover, Rosenfield has also reported from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, the Middle East during the conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza, and was the only local anchor to report live from Paris within 24 hours of the terror attacks there in November 2015.
