ken Calvert for Congress

The Congressman(CA-42) statement in response to the introduction of the “Green New Deal” by Congressional Democrats.

Democrats infamously misled Americans during the passage of Obamacare by telling them that if they like their health insurance plan, they can keep it. Today, they formally admitted their deception by introducing legislation to eliminate every private health insurance plan.

I appreciate Adm. John Richardson, the Chief of Naval Operations, making history and coming to visit Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona. I agree 100% that our local Navy base in Norco is a “center of excellence for our Navy” and we need to sustain the important role they play in supporting our fleet and our national security.

H.R. 1, a bill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressional Democrats claim would restore “fairness” in our elections, would send YOUR tax dollars to the campaign accounts of Congressional candidates you may or may not support. For every $1 (up to $200) contributed to Speaker Pelosi’s campaign, she’s going to receive $6 in federal tax dollars from Uncle Sam. That’s wrong and I’ll oppose it.

If Democrats in Sacramento had listened to us years ago, how many tax dollars could we have saved? How many real transportation solutions could we have built right here in the Inland Empire? So many opportunities were wasted.
