Born and raised in New Englander, Lemanowicz has had the opportunity to see what powerful impact weather has on the lives of local residents. Notably, he remembers the blizzard of 1978 hitting in 3rd grade, but in his career, he has seen everything winter has to offer from the President’s Day Storm of 2004 to the Blizzard of 2005 and the record snowfall in the winter of 2015. Lemanowicz loves the challenge of forecasting the changeable New England weather. Furthermore, he has been in the air for hours continuously when tornadoes have hit, like the one that hit Monson and other towns in 2011.
Lemanowicz keeps New Englanders on track with changing weather beyond Boston 25 News’ on-air and digital platforms. Together with the Boston 25 StormTracker Weather Team provide forecasts to the Boston Red Sox, Country 102.5 WKLB, Magic 106.7 WMJX, and WCRN AM 830. On top of that, he has done in-depth stories related to weather and science, like a winter night atop Mount Washington and tagging sharks off of Cape Cod.
Nevertheless, Lemanowicz is active in the community and has visited hundreds of schools giving students and teachers a better understanding of how weather works both locally and globally. Additionally, he shares his love of meteorology and science expertise with a variety of groups including the Massachusetts Middle School Scholars, Weston Observatory Lecture Series, and the annual STEM Day at Fenway Park. Lemanowicz also serves as the emcee for the annual Cox Conserves Heroes Awards.

WFXT Boston 25 News is a television station in Boston, Massachusetts, the United States that is owned and operated by Cox Media Group. The station’s studios are located on Fox Drive in Dedham, and its transmitter is located on Cabot Street in Needham. WFXT is the largest Fox affiliate by market size that is not owned and operated by the network.
Channel 25 first signed on the air on October 10, 1977, as WXNE-TV originally operating as an independent station. The station was founded by the then–Portsmouth, Virginia–based Christian Broadcasting Network. After being awarded a construction permit to build the station by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in June 1972, CBN targeted the new channel 25 to begin operations within one year. However, various delays in obtaining both a studio and transmitter location resulted in a wait of over five years for the station to finally sign on.
The station’s early programming format was targeted at a family audience, consisting of older syndicated reruns and a decent amount of religious programming. Religious programs ran for about six hours a day during the week, and throughout the day on Sundays. WFXT nevertheless carried the daily and Sunday Mass from the Boston Catholic Television Center. Secular programming consisted of westerns, older movies, family-oriented drama series, old film shorts, and classic television series.
