Majestic Storm Career

Storm became a part of 40/29 News Sunrise as a Meteorologist in April 2022. Storm commenced her forecasting career in her hometown of Spokane, Washington, in 2018. For over three years, she has been predicting weather patterns across Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Previously, she served as the Weather Anchor for KAYU’s “Good Day” and KHQ Local News, where she gained expertise in forecasting for the Pacific Northwest. She feels fortunate to have launched her career in the town that shaped her upbringing.

Storm also provided daily forecasts for a statewide morning program called “Wake Up Montana.” Some of her most memorable weather experiences occurred in Montana. From wind chills of fifty below to hailstones the size of tennis balls, the extreme weather in Big Sky Country deepened her fascination with severe weather. Storm graduated from Washington State University as a first-generation college student, earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She interned at her hometown station, KHQ in Spokane, Washington, and secured a position as a Weather Anchor after graduation, assuming primary morning roles. Storm completed her meteorology degree at Mississippi State University, earning a Bachelor of Science.

Her passion for weather ignited during her childhood. From witnessing several feet of snowfall in a single day to observing lightning from thunderstorms behind her childhood home, she relished the changing seasons in the Pacific Northwest. Interestingly, she didn’t realize her name’s weather-related connotation until she was already captivated by the science. She is frequently asked if her siblings have unique names as well, and the answer is no.

She is the lone sibling out of four with a distinctive name! Storm doesn’t have children of her own, but she is the proud owner of a big three-year-old Great Dane named Annie and a 14-year-old cat named Kiki. And, indeed, the cat is in charge! Storm is swapping the Cascades for the Ozarks and couldn’t be more thrilled to call Northwest Arkansas home. Living in the South and learning about tornadoes has been a long-standing dream of hers. You can catch Storm’s forecasts from 4:30-7:00 AM on ABC and from 7-8 on the Arkansas CW.
