LaRosa started her broadcasting career in 1998 when she joined WTVM-TV in Colombus, Georgia. In 2000, she joined WXIX in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later in 2004, she moved to KYW-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She served as the weekday morning and noon meteorologist at KYW.
From 2012-2014, she was a correspondent of the segment Wake Up With Al and co-anchor of Morning Rush. From 2014-2015, she co-anchored America’s Morning Headquarters. In 2015, Maria became co-host of Weekend Recharge. She left the show in 2018.
