This program supported the National Weather Service by rolling out a new probability-based tornado and severe thunderstorm warning system. Additionally, she was invited back to the National Weather Service in 2018 to experiment with the GOES-R satellite technology for severe weather warnings. She has journeyed all across the Midwest and New England to share her love of forecasting with kids in school.
Gardner appreciates the challenge of forecasting weather and chose to trade in the severe storms and tornadoes of the Midwest to experience the nor’easters of New England.
