Shona Ferguson is a well-known South African Actor and a Co-Founder of Ferguson Films who was born in Gaborone, Botswana, and brought up in South Africa. He is popular for his role as Dr. Leabua on the Venda soapie Muvhango. He joined the cast in April 2006 and resigned from the show on 5 March 2007.

Ferguson’s journey into the world of entertainment started in Lesotho as a club DJ at The Palace Hotel Night Club in 1992. His focus shifted to the corporate world and ended up in the IT business, after relocating back to Botswana. He received multiple achievement awards, including the Top Sales Award in 1998 -1999, from where he started as a salesman and worked his way up to become a respected businessman while working at EDUTECH.
In addition, his acting career started as Ace on the south African Tv series Generations. He began acting on the South African Venda soap opera Muvhango as Dr. Leabua and became famous for the role in 2006. He resigned from the show in March 2007. Later, he starred as Itumeleng from 2011 -2013 on The Wild, an M-Net soap opera.
Together with his wife Connie, established Ferguson films and both starred in their film production’s first series Rockville. From 2013-2016 he starred as JB in its final episode. In addition, he appeared on 2014’s The Gift, a Ferguson Films series, and he currently stars as Jerry Maake on The Queen, furthermore, he also starred in the Ferguson Films series that started in 2016. Furthermore, he also appeared in Isidingo; The Need as Tyson and in Scandal! as Alex.
Shona Ferguson Illness/Death
Ferguson developed chest pains and got admitted to Milpark Hospital, he underwent heart surgery in late July 2021. On July 30 afternoon, according to a statement issued on Ferguson Films Instagram account, he died. He died from COVID-19-related complications. Ferguson died at the age of 47 years old on Friday.
