Steve Wiebe Career

Of the numerous limited-edition sneakers releasing this weekend from top brands including Adidas, Jordan, and Nike, the pair you’re about to see may be the rarest of them all.

In collaboration with tattoo artist Steve Wiebe, Jordan Brand yesterday released a highly limited collection featuring the Air Jordan 10 retro, Jordan Generation and Super. Fly 2017 models.

For serious sneakerheads, the Air Jordan 10 will likely be the key draw of this collection. The shoes take on a Chicago Bulls inspiration, dialing up the shades of red to the max with a bright upper accented with black on the sneaker’s signature striped and checkerboard liner, outsole, and tongue details.

Setting this pair apart from a standard Air Jordan 10 is its wrinkled leather texture, which is paired with smooth suede. And the biggest caveat of all is the sneaker’s availability: there are only 230 individually numbered pairs available globally.

Elsewhere, the collaboration’s Jordan Generation and Super. Fly 2017 sneakers pair black uppers with red accents and a similar wrinkled texture. A small number of Air Jordan 10 pairs have since found their way to eBay. They’re listed for asking prices ranging from $788 to as high as $7,000.

Steve Wiebe Donkey Kong

He made the third attempt to break the Donkey Kong high score at the ‘Twiistup 4 event’ in Santa Monica, California. However, he failed on two consecutive attempts, scoring (340,500 and 466,100) points.

In the year 2008 October, at the 2008 E for All Expo, Steve scored 1,000,200 in front of a large crowd. This was only the third time a million-point score had been achieved in public.

On 24th April 2009, he temporarily took command of the Donkey Kong Jr. title, surpassing both Mitchell and previous record holder Icarus Hall with a score of (1,139,800) points. It was later passed by Mark L. Kiehl with a score of 1,147,800.

On June 2, 2009, Wiebe reached a score of 923,400 points at E3 2009 during his first attempt that day. On his second attempt, he reached 653,700.

A third attempt was interrupted by a brief power failure. After power was restored, He made a fourth trial in which he reached (989,400) points before the kill screen ended his final trial.

On 2nd February 2018, the world record of 1,247,700 was set by Robbie Lakeman. According to Galaxies Wiebe is currently ranked 12 in the high score list of Donkey Kong with (1,064,5000) points.

On 12/04/2018, Steve was recognized as the first person to ever reach a score of 1,000,000 points. This title was granted by Twin Galaxies after the same organization performed an investigation into Billy Mitchell, the previous record holder.

Steve Wiebe king of song

The King Of Kong Moonlights As The King Of Song

Steve Wiebe, an international nice guy, and star of the documentary “King of Kong”, doesn’t just sit around all day playing video games. He also writes and records albums.

This is his debut album, appropriately titled “The King of Song”. Those expecting a collection of songs dedicated to Donkey Kong and Billy Mitchell’s ties will be disappointed, however, as it’s 11 tracks of Christian music, with song names like “Chapel in the Pines” and “Pilot in my Soul”.

A shame, then, but it’s not a total write-off, as it’s so cheesy it sounds like the soundtrack to an inspirational telemovie. Play it over “King of Kong” “of which you’ll get an autographed copy if you buy the CD!” in slow motion and you’ve got yourself a fun afternoon.

I love “King of Kong” and have always appreciated the way Gordon framed the narrative of the true story to have a good guy and a bad guy. It’s well done in that regard.

But is it fair to Mitchell? Or is he accepted enough as a villain in real life so it’s okay to depict him as such on screen? He does compare himself to the Red Baron on camera, after all. But lately, I’ve pondered the ethical issue of villainizing real people for narrative purposes as well as the relative problem of documentarians ridiculing their subjects. I can’t say I totally feel bad for Mitchell, and much of the way he comes across as a jerk in “Kong” is his own doing.

Steve Wiebe Salary/Net Worth
