Booth started her professional journey in Monterey, where she specialized in military reporting. During her time in Charlotte, North Carolina, she concentrated her efforts on the police beat. Transitioning to Cleveland, Ohio, she assumed the role of a medical reporter. Booth’s experience includes coverage of the inaugural Gulf War, which entailed her journey to Saudi Arabia and various locations alongside support units involved with Fort Ord’s 7th Infantry Division.
An impactful moment in her career began when she was stationed just 50 yards away during her network’s coverage of the Atlanta Olympics. It was in this moment that the Centennial Olympic Park bombing occurred, and Booth’s swift response resulted in her being among the first reporters to deliver news of the incident on air. To make a balance between her professional pursuits and her role as a wife and mother to her young daughter, Booth dedicates part-time hours to her work at WJXT.
