Before joining the ABC30 News team, she was a reporter/anchor at WTOC in Savannah, GA. While at The Hostess City, she assisted to bring awareness to the anti-Asian attacks happening nationwide. In addition, the City of Savannah created it is first Asian American and Pacific Islander Task Force following Amanda’s coverage. She also lead coverage on the death of Ahmad Arbery, for which she and her team won an Emmy in 2021.
Previously, Aguilar spent almost three years at KSN-TV in Wichita, KS, where she covered wildfires, tornadoes, and blizzards. She attended and graduated from the Dominican University of California in San Rafael where she received her bachelor’s degree, and her master’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C.
