At the age of 8 years old, Ryan dreamed of doing exactly what she does every day; telling stories that matter. Even after 12 years as a journalist, she says it still feels surreal. During his tenure in Tulsa, she covered live at the State Capitol during the historic teacher walkout, covered former President Trump’s first campaign rally during the pandemic, investigated Oklahoma’s poor-ranking nursing homes, and contributed to the station’s Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Before moving to Tulsa, she anchored weekday mornings at WLTX in South Carolina where she covered the Charleston Church shooting, the Confederate Flag controversy at the State Capitol, and the historic thousand-year flood. She’s also worked at WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, ABC 57 News in South Bend, Indiana, and WBKB in Alpena, Michigan.
During her leisure time, she enjoys adventuring with her son, adopted dog, and her husband.
