Prior to joining KDFW FOX 4, he worked at WFTX-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, as a news reporter for 3 years. He began his career in the Midwest, then moved to Florida where he worked in newsrooms in Sarasota and Ft. Myers (WFTX), then finally to Texas (KDFW). He attended and graduated from Ball State University in the year 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications.
Currently, he serves at KDFW FOX 4 in Dallas/Fort Worth as a News Anchor/Reporter. He reports for “Good Day” from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and co-anchors “Good Day” weekdays from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. alongside Hanna Battah. In addition, his stories are mainly based on breaking news events, politics, and even footballs at The Star. Todd says that he is honored and feels lucky to cover stories at FOX 4 News for over 2 decades. He started as a morning news reporter at KDFW FOX 4. He was also part of several award-winning breaking news stories.
Upon joining FOX 4, he reported a variety of breaking stories ranging from the shuttle disaster in East Texas to the explosion in the West to different hurricanes to hundreds of local stores in North Texas. He says that he is very thankful for the fact that many people have shared their lives and hearts with him on camera. Moreover, he calls it a pleasure to give back to the local community, and he gives his time to a variety of local DFW events like the CONTACT Teen Program, and the March of Dimes March for Babies in Ft. Worth, just to name a few.

Effective August 29th, he will anchor the Dallas-Fort Worth morning newscast from 6 am to 10 am alongside Lauren Przybyl, Evan Andrews, Chip Waggoner, and Hanna Battah.

Brandon Todd has been with FOX 4 Dallas for 24 years. He spent the first 15 years as a nightside reporter, then in 2019 was promoted to anchor of “Good Day” from 4 am to 6 am and would report for the remainder of the morning show.
Before joining the station, Todd served as a reporter for Fox 4 News WFTX Cape Coral, Florida. He was also a producer at NBC 2 News WBBH Fort Myers FL, and a reporter at the Suncoast News Network (SNN) in Sarasota FL.
