Church did two and a half years of multimedia journalism and weekend anchoring and producing for KVRR-TV in Fargo North Dakota. This enables her to cope with Buffalo winters. In Fargo, Church did many stories including a case of a 22-year-old pregnant woman who was kidnapped and murdered together with the major flooding that occurred in the Red River Valley. She furthermore did a piece on human trafficking in Fargo-Moorhead which saw her win an AP award.
Some of the stories she did that are memorable include one of an Amish man who ran away as a teen from Wisconsin to North Dakota, a 32-year-old woman who had cerebral palsy and made a commercial for Apple and meeting veterans on an honor flight to Washington, D.C.
