At the age of 17, he pursued his passion further by obtaining an acting certificate from Barbizon Hollywood at the Los Angeles Center Studios. During his senior year he began his journey as the weatherman for the morning school announcements.
During his college years, Huijon Jr. enrolled in the Cinema-Radio-Television department and earned an associate’s transfer degree in Television, Film, and Electronic Media. Additionally, he took on the role of an on-air host at Fullerton College’s radio station, 90.1 FM KBPK. In addition, Huijon Jr. served as a student Multimedia Journalist for his university’s weekly newscast, ‘State of Events,’ and received the honor of “Best On-Air Talent” at the department’s annual festival, ‘B.E.C.A. Fest,’ in May 2020.
During his time as a student, he explored popular spots like Mission Dolores Park, The Castro District, Crissy Fields, and Corona Heights Park. Furthermore, Huijon Jr. gained valuable experience through internships. Including working as a News Writer at Scriberr News and serving as an Election Night Reporter for The Associated Press during the 2020 Presidential Election in November 2020 at the Orange County Voting Center in Santa Ana, CA.
