Dizon became a part of the KSBY News team in April 2022, taking on the role of a Multimedia Journalist. Dizon is a proud alumnus of Gonzaga University, earned his degree in Broadcast Studies with a minor in Spanish. During his time at Gonzaga, he worked as a video journalist for GUTV, the on-campus news production, and completed an internship at KHQ in Spokane, Washington.
Following his graduation, Dizon returned to his hometown of San Diego, where he dedicated his time to coordinating freelance videography projects for local community events and nonprofit organizations. Driven by a desire to rejoin the newsroom, Dizon began his career as an Associate Producer and Assignment Editor at NBC San Diego. In this capacity, he was responsible for writing scripts, editing video content for newscasts, and organizing crews for the Assignment Desk.
During his leisure hours, Dizon indulges in playing the electric guitar, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. He has hopes of soon revisiting his favorite place in the world, Ireland, where he had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad during his college years. Dizon is delighted to call the Central Coast his home now, and he looks forward to sharing stories from the region, with a particular focus on the Santa Maria Valley.
