She is an active member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the distinction of being an Advanced Skywarn Spotter with the National Weather Service. Additionally, she contributes rainfall data from her North Augusta backyard to CoCoRaHS, The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network. Originally hailing from Coconut Creek, Florida, Ball is a native Floridian who has made North Augusta her home for more than 15 years, following a career that took her through various television markets across the southeastern United States.
When not engrossed in weather watching and forecasting, Ball finds joy in spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations, engaging in scuba diving adventures, learning gymnastics, and teaching aerobics classes.
