Holmes worked for Sky News in the ‘War Room’ while she studied in Europe. She also worked for WTVH-5 as a producer in Syracuse and as a reporter/anchor in WSYR-9. It was at this point that she headed back home to Buffalo to work for WIVB-TV in 2005.
Among major stories that she has covered and earned her large recognition by Western New Yorkers include; the 5/14 Tops mass shooting, the Crash of Flight 3407, the “Snowvember” Storm of 2014, the arrest and conviction of the Bikepath Rapist, the Christmas Blizzard of 2022, the search for Ralph “Bucky” Phillips, and the Surprise October Storm.
Buffalo is known by people as a ‘City of Good Neighbors’ and Holmes ensures she brings this out clearly in a series she produces writes shoots and edits “Good Neighbors” and “Selfless Among Us”.
