Rigsby spent nearly a decade as a reporter and anchor at KHSL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Chico before graduating from school. After his graduate studies, he spent two years as an assistant professor of at CSU Fresno. Afterward in 1992, he joined Texas A&M as an Assistant Professor where he taught Speech Communication. While there, he won the Outstanding Teaching Award from the university’s College of Liberal Arts.
After 14 years at Texas A&M, he moved his family to Dallas in order to grow his business. Working on his motivational speaking, he began offering corporate coaching and motivational speaking services. He started speaking at numerous sports organizations and teams in the National Football League. He also spoke at several Christian colleges and public schools. In 2017 he gave a speech at the California State Maritime Academy commencement ceremony. Afterward, that speech went viral and his business grew.
