Jessie’s first professional acting role was the lead role in the short film Rosie in 2012. She then went on to make appearances in the popular BBC soap operas Doctors and Casualty, as well as an episode of House of Anubis. She also reprised her role as Sophie Danae in the television film Touchstone of Ra.
Between 2014 and 2016, Jessie starred in the BAFTA-winning CBBC Online web series Dixi as Shari, and later went on to play the lead character WPC Annie Taylor in the BBC One television program WPC 56. She also had a guest role in Josh, and starred in the 2014 short film Copy That, which won the Best Comedic Short Film award at the TSFA in New York. Most recently, Jessie made her feature film debut as Doris in the 2016 war drama Their Finest.

The following year, she appeared in the ITV miniseries adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray’s classic novel Vanity Fair. She also made a memorable guest appearance in the 2018 Doctor Who episode “Kerblam!”
In 2020, Jessie took on the role of Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth child of the Bridgerton family, in the Shondaland-produced Netflix period drama Bridgerton. Jessie also appeared in Bali 2002, a drama on Stan and 9Network about the 2002 Bali bombings, where she portrayed real-life survivor Polly Miller, a newlywed British tourist.
