Before relocating to Ft. Myers, Hope held the position of weekday morning meteorologist at WMBB, the ABC affiliate in Panama City, Florida. She also has a history of vacationing in Southwest Florida with her family over several years. Hope’s passion for broadcast television was kindled during her four-year journalism academy in her hometown suburbs of Chicago. Her fascination with weather began during high school mission trips to Haiti, Jamaica, and Guatemala, where she witnessed the impact of natural disasters in these regions.
Her academic journey led her to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. During her time there, she interned at KPHO and was chosen to present weather reports for a local PBS station. Following her completion of a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, she went on to earn a second bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University. Outside of work, Hope finds pleasure in activities like beach outings, savoring delicious seafood, exploring new destinations, and taking full advantage of all the attractions and offerings in Southwest Florida.
