Strahan dedicated his entire 15-year professional career to playing as a defensive end for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). Renowned for his pass-rushing abilities, Strahan shares the record for the highest number of quarterback sacks in a single NFL season with T. J. Watt. He played an important role in the Giants’ triumph in Super Bowl XLII against the New England Patriots during his final season in 2007.
Following his retirement from the NFL, Strahan transitioned into a prominent media personality. He assumed the role of a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday and later became a co-host on ABC’s Good Morning America. Additionally, he partnered with Kelly Ripa as a co-host on Live! with Kelly and Michael from 2012 to 2016, garnering two Daytime Emmy Awards. Strahan expanded his presence through guest appearances on game shows and various programs. In 2014, he became a regular contributor on Good Morning America, and in 2016, ABC announced his full-time move from Live! to join GMA. He also took on the hosting duties for the current version of the Pyramid game show on ABC.

In 2021, he ventured into space aboard Blue Origin NS-19’s suborbital space flight. Strahan engages in charity work aimed at benefiting youth, community development, and other noteworthy causes. He made notable appearances, such as guest-starring as June Bug in the Halloween episode of Black-ish and making a cameo in the movie Charlie’s Angels in 2019 as Bosley from the Townsend Agency’s New York branch. Philanthropy
Strahan invested heavily in the restoration and enhancement of Georgian Heights, a mansion dating back to the turn of the 19th century. Before occupying the residence, Strahan generously permitted the Junior League of Montclair-Newark to utilize the house as a model home for a charitable fundraiser. From May 28 to 31, the League transformed the mansion, hosting both a “bare bones” party and an elegant black-tie affair. Additionally, they organized $25 tours to raise funds for the Junior League programs, Children At Risk, and HomeCorp. Children At Risk assists children and families, while HomeCorp supports low-income individuals in achieving home ownership.
In February 2008, Strahan and his Giants teammate, Justin Tuck, collaborated with Nike to design exclusive sneakers for the ID studio in New York City. All proceeds from the sale of these sneakers were contributed to Nike’s Let Me Play global campaign. Furthermore, in December 2018, Strahan volunteered at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and participated in a series of holiday promotions.
