William Morrison Career
Morrison became a part of 40/29 News as the Weekend Meteorologist/Multimedia Journalist in November 2023. Morrison’s journey into meteorology commenced with the launch and maintenance of a blog titled “Ask the Weather Guy” for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Additionally, Morrison served as a local storm spotter, reporting severe weather for the Tulsa, OK National Weather Service office, and provided forecasts for Southwest Indiana, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and the Lower Ohio Valley with Metro Weather Watch. Most recently, Morrison explored forensic meteorology as a staff meteorologist at Atlas Forensic Meteorology, LLC.
In addition to his meteorological background, Morrison served in the U.S. Army for 9 years, eventually attaining the rank of captain before voluntarily separating. Among his proudest achievements are completing the U.S. Army’s Airborne School, teaching English to Vietnamese service members in Vietnam, and serving as a company commander. Having grown up in Maryland, Morrison has resided in Northwest Arkansas for 6 years. When not monitoring the radar or fulfilling his duties as a husband and father, Morrison indulges in reading and writing faith-based content, savoring a cup of hot tea, and observing airplanes taking off and landing.
