Hudgison currently working as a sports director at KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, Arkansas, United States. Hudgison came back to Arkansas in July 2018 to take on the role of Sports Director at KAIT, after spending the past four years as WLBT’s Sports Director in Jackson, Mississippi. During his time in Mississippi, Hudgison covered significant events such as Mississippi State’s participation in the 2017 Women’s Final Four, including the memorable shot by Morgan William to defeat UConn. He also reported on the resurgence of Alcorn State football and the eventful 2014 season when both Mississippi State and Ole Miss football teams gained national attention.
Before his tenure in Mississippi, Hudgison worked at Region 8 News from 2009 to 2014. Initially, he served as the Weekend Sports Anchor from 2009 to 2011 before being promoted to Sports Director in 2012. During his initial stint in Jonesboro, he closely followed the rise of the Red Wolves football program, which saw five coaching changes in five seasons. Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Hudgison attended Columbus State University and began his broadcasting career in 2003 at WTVM. He progressed from a production assistant to a news photographer and eventually a sports reporter. Outside of work, Hudgison enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, playing Playstation, and hitting the golf course in pursuit of Old Man Par.
