Porter accumulated valuable experience as a producer, reporter, and anchor for her college’s student-led newscast, The Daily O. Additionally, she initiated an entertainment segment titled “What’s Trending,” delving into the latest developments in film, television, music, and celebrity news. Even after her graduation, The Daily O continued the segment, a source of great pride for Porter in her college career.
In December 2020, she earned her B.A. in Multimedia Journalism and a few months later relocated to Wichita Falls to kickstart her journalism career at KFDX. Her primary focus is ensuring the delivery of relevant, accurate, and crucial information to the community, keeping them well-informed at all times. During her leisure hours, Porter enjoys spending time with friends and family, catching up on her favorite shows, or hunting for the best deals at various retail stores. She eagerly anticipates each day as an opportunity to delve deeper into understanding the Texoma area and the individuals who consider it home.
