Hoggard pursued higher education at Midwestern State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. During his time at MSU, he actively contributed to The Wichitan, the student-operated weekly newspaper, starting as an Op-Ed and Entertainment columnist and later assuming the role of Editor for the Op-Ed and Sports pages. Additionally, Josh briefly served as a production assistant at KFDX while attending MSU.
Following a time in DFW where he worked in various capacities including production manager, graphic designer, and camera director, Hoggard returned to Wichita Falls in March 2019, rejoining the KFDX/KJTL family as a production director. His role evolved over time, transitioning to a Digital Content Producer in November 2019 and later assuming the position of a Digital Reporter in late 2021. In 2022, he expanded his responsibilities to include on-air reporting for KFDX and KJTL, and has also been actively involved in capturing high school football games for Friday Night Football since 2020.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Hoggard values his family, including his wife and two daughters. He’s passionate about various interests including Star Wars, Cards Against Humanity, live music, and sports teams like the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Dallas Stars. When not occupied in the newsroom, Hoggard can often be found engaging in activities related to these interests.
