Throughout her tenure at Alaska’s News Source, Schreck has directed numerous award-winning newscasts and specials, in addition to managing audio, cameras, and graphics. She even obtained her class B CDL and operated the station’s satellite truck.

Schreck was born and raised in Anchorage, she holds deep roots in the region, cherishing memories of her family’s cabin along the Kenai River, where she cultivated patience with a fishing pole and learned the importance of storytelling around the kitchen table. Schreck focuses on covering the greater Matanuska-Susitna area in her journalistic endeavors after relocating to Palmer in the summer of 2021.
