His stage performances include Off-Broadway productions of “New Moon” and “Mikado,” and he has made television appearances on shows like “Magnum P.I.” and “Kojak.” As a professional actor, Forgit featured in movies such as “The Big Miracle” and more recently, “The Frozen Ground,” portraying Sgt. Wayne Von Clasen, both filmed in Alaska.
In addition to his media career, Forgit, a Captain in the Coast Guard Reserve, recently retired after over 30 years of service. He brings over 25 years of expertise in emergency management, oil spill response, and homeland and maritime security programs. Forgit and his wife, Lanara, are longtime Alaskans who share a passion for the outdoors, engaging in activities like sailing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking, and racing.
