Dewberry Joined the News10NBC team in March 2017, she anchors the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. shows while also addressing consumer advocacy matters in her reporting. Dewberry is a resilient four-time cancer survivor, she actively engages in community initiatives that enhance the lives of cancer survivors and support research.
Her remarkable contributions were recognized in 2020 when she received the Breast Cancer Coalition’s Harriet Susskind Rosenblum Advocate Spirit Award. Currently, she serves on the Coalition’s Advisory Council and has taken on roles such as Mistress of Ceremonies for the Breast Cancer Coalition’s annual Pink & Teal Challenge, participating in the event wearing her distinctive pink tutu. In Dallas, she received the prestigious Thrive Award from The Cancer Support Community in acknowledgment of her passionate efforts to alleviate the suffering caused by cancer.
Throughout her career, which includes stops in Dallas, Indianapolis, Little Rock, and Lubbock, Dewberry ‘s advocacy has earned her 12 regional Emmy Awards, establishing her as the region’s top consumer reporter. Her contributions have also been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Press, Indiana Broadcasters Association, National Association of Black Journalists, Texas Speech Communication Association, and the American Cancer Society. In 2009, Martin University bestowed upon her an Honorary Doctorate for her contributions to the field of journalism.
